Membership

The Johns Creek Veterans Association (JCVA) seeks new members from the local veteran population to join us and to help make that difference. Many of our members served during the Second World War, Korea, and Vietnam eras and, although vigorous, we seek younger veterans to help meet the myriad of challenges that veterans and their families continue to face; homelessness, quality healthcare and receipt of earned benefits; unemployment; anxiety, separation, and suicide.

Remembering the Fallen and honoring those who served are traditions within the veteran community. In 2015, the JCVA completed the construction of the Johns Creek Veterans Memorial Walk, a four-acre privately funded park and contemplative walk located behind Park Place at Newtown Park, 3125 Old Alabama road, Johns Creek. This was a community effort and the result is the largest Memorial Walk of its kind in the United States.

The project lasted just more than two years-time and enjoyed tremendous support from both corporate and private donors. In November, the Memorial Walk was turned over to the City of Johns Creek.
